Middleton was roommate with Prince William in their second year at St. Andrews. Kate Middleton started to be harassed by media outlets around the same time. This caused a lot of people to threaten legal measures. In 2007, Kate and William had a breakup due to reasons that are not clear. However, rumors continued to circulate not long afterward that they had got back as a couple.
