Bellamy Young

Young's acting career started in theatre. In 1997, she had her Broadway debut in the role of Mary in the original The Life cast. The Life. In addition, she performed off Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Rolled Along (1994) in addition to as the role of Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995-1996). She made her debut on television in 1995 when she landed a recurring part as"Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap drama Another World. In 1999, she made a film debut with a small character in the crime-drama Black and White and later joined the cast of several independent movies. From the mid-2000s onwards, she began appearing in guest-starring characters on several comedies and television dramas including The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Between 2000 until in 2011, Young made appearances in over thirty television shows. The year 2003 saw Young appeared as a regular in Peacemakers, a USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes, the program ended after a single season. She was a recurring character in the Lifetime series For the People, a show that focuses on the law. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami between 2005 and 2006 and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family.
